I haven't had any more problems with NextPVR after that time it wouldn't set a recording. You saw the logs for that.

This new build seems to work just fine too.

So far looking good, been running for 40 minutes and still going. Never made it this far with the previous version.

Still going, think you have it licked. I'll watch the rest of the night and let you know tomorrow if the issue is still there.

Well it is pretty solid, however it still dies occasionally, do not think it is related the previous issue. Is there a way I can put advancesettings.xml in tvOS so that I can adjust the PVR settings so that I can increase the cache levels?

May I suggest adding the following pvr settings in the gui that is found in advancedsettings.xml?

Code: Select all

<pvr>
  <minvideocachelevel>10</minvideocachelevel>
  <minaudiocachelevel>10</minaudiocachelevel>
  <cacheindvdplayer>true</cacheindvdplayer>
  <lingertime>60</lingertime>
</pvr>

None of those are present in the code base anymore except lingertime

MrMC v2.0 uses AE/17 along with player changes.

exactly what are you trying to tweak in response to what effect you see ?

I'm trying to increase the buffer before resuming playback. I had this issue with an older version of Kodi where it would start playing for few seconds after buffering, then it would stop, then buffer up again before it gained a steady stream. I'm trying to eliminate the play, pause, play, behaviour.
