Thanks for all your amazing hard work! Looking forward to trying it out when I get home.

Initial impressions:
- nice that skins are an option. I tried both new ones and found several things missing that the main skin has so I'm happy with the default. The Amber skin did seem to start lagging after a few minutes though.
- I tried the new "native remote" handling and almost immediately changed it back. It's way too sensitive. If you only have a few items then a quick swipe on the remote blasts through the items. It seems to work much better in a long list though.
- I'm going to be trying out the smbX support here shortly but I guess that means redoing my library. Will be nice to not need smbUp. I posted in the support forum about some smb issues http://mrmc.tv/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=372.

I was just testing this latest version of MrMC and all is good so far.

I agree with jabohn on a few points: namely, that the MrMC default skin remains my preference and that the "native" remote functionality is way too sensitive (and, in fact, hard to use). But the default remote functionality is good, so I will stick with that.

I also just turned on native OSX (smbX) support and re-added my library (using zeroconfig, as per Davilla's comments in "SMB oddities" thread) and, after testing a few files, it seems to work perfectly. I have now disabled smbUP. Glad to have native OSX SMB functionality working.

Good job. Good app. Looking forward to future updates.

Thanks for giving feedback on that. Think I'll jump in and redo my library as well with smbX.

Maybe a smbUP depend but should not have to redo your library. I can switch between samba/libdsm without any issues as long as username/password/path remains the same.

Thanks. That might work but I can't get the exact same pathname. SMBUp allows you to specify a share name and the built-in sharing just uses your IP address or computer name. In my case neither match.

Anyway, with libdsm enabled all I get is that "lock preferences" window to manually enter a user name and password any nothing I put in is accepted. I didn't need any of that with SMBUp.

Linking to files via libdsm on my iMac (in OSX 10.11.2) with name and password did work for me.

I spoke too soon with the positive comments about the new release.

In watching something now, the whole app is quitting (completely) when you try to unpause a video (after it is paused for approximately two minutes). I did not expect that. It did not happen in the previous release.
