An In Progress/On Deck/Recommended widget

Post by Hansel »

Most skins have this and I really do rely on it to serve up the next episode in a series I'm watching. Having a recently added widget is good for Movies as you tend to watch a movie in one go rather than stop and start, but for TV it's so much more useful to have the widget show the next unwatched episode in the series.

I'm not sure if the new skin you're adding already has this, in which case awesome, and I'm also not sure if a widget like this somehow requires python to operate.

If it's feasible though, it would be fantastic to have it added :)

recently added is not a problem, issue is recommended ... its an addon based solution in Kodi and we don't have addons

I notice that the new skin (Amber) does have an In Progress section for TV, just not a widget (thought it might, as the skin settings are greyed out at the moment).

In progress is script dependent, we only have Recently added

I was just wondering as the In Progress section in Amber does work fine (it's in the sub-menu of TV Shows), so wasn't sure if it was fairly simple to translate that into a widget. Seems all the logic works already.

I'm hoping it does, but it's greyed out in settings so I can't check at the mo :)
