ok, how about sharing movies or tv show with me (plex user is mrmctv) so I can take a peak. Once we figure out what is going on, you can yank the share.

also check main settings -> player.

"Direct Play" checked or unchecked.
"Direct Stream" checked or unchecked.

Both are checked on mine.

Invitation sent, both those options are checked.

What the heck?? Well I'm glad a stranger from the internet can access my library remotely, but I can't locally haha.
There has to be something tripping it up, but what? Given that plexkodiconnect and the plex client on the ftv can connect, I just don't get it.

Neither me, mrmc.log with debug enabled please. Also look in systeminfo -> network and verify the ip we are picking up is sane.

I'm using the default MrMC (Confluence) skin.

still running MrMC (2.4 Git:2016-07-31-2768ee0), v2.5 was released this morning.

just for kicks, in mrmc skin. if you go into movies, go left, slider pops out, in that is 'filter', anything entered there ?

I'm at a loss to figure out why plex content is not showing for you. You should see MrMC listed in the web gui under players. Next step I think is to check out the plex server log. This should show all connection made and contents retrieved.

I could add some logging in mrmc but we are trying to keep from exposing user details and info in the log. Plex host and tokens are already redacted and we do have a compile time debug switch that blows out a bunch of info regarding plex client but we keep that turned off for releases.

I'll try what you've suggested when I get home from work.

I do have a question though: Do you have any files scraped directly to your library, apart from the plex server share? I ask because I haven't scraped anything directly to the MrMC library itself, only tried to connect the plex client. This is something else I can try when I get home as well, to see if that makes a difference.
