If it is not working properly I will provide a debuglog.

Kind regards

thanks!

There we go:
https://pastebin.com/mxnLiWV5

I did a reboot of the ATV, firing up MrMC and then executed the following commands with my 3rd party remote (Control4):
- left
- up
- right
- down
- press

Oddly, the Apple's original remote app from the App Store on my iPhone operates correctly - occasionally!

Outside MrMC, in any other ATV app, everything is working properly. No matter how I control the ATV.

EDIT:
So I quit MrMC after my posting. Did a few remote tests outside MrMC. Everything operating properly. As expected. Then I went into MrMC again and, surprise, the original remote app on my iPhone did not work but the menu key and press but no swipes. However, the original Siri remote control does everything like expected.

EDIT2:
Wow. Quit MrMC then entered it again. Some commands have been executed on my 3rd party remote. I have been hitting key randomly (swipes, press, menu, swipes; can't remember exactly the sequence). Then, suddenly, no commands have been executed anymore. It just stopped working. The following log might be of help about what is going on here:
https://pastebin.com/Jr61hpzz

Anything I can do to support?

Hm, I don't see that you clicked anything... was that in this session? Is it maybe in debuglog old?

Edit: None of the logs show any input, what the hell ...

No, I have been watching the time initiated etc. So it must be the appropriate log file.

I have just been spamming MrMC with swipes up/down. It soon becomes unresponsive, slow, laggy while outside MrMC everything is fine. I really do not know what to do.

Something happened since updating from 3.0.6. Do we have a chance to find out by downgrading via TF? I am not enrolled yet but would of course doing so to support and to have the problem fixed.

How does control4 hook up to Apple TV? Is it paired remote?

EDIT: ignore that, I can reproduce... let me see what I can do to fix it :)

What do you mean with "paired"? In the end it is a wired/Ethernet connection using IP commands.

The Control4 (C4) remote itself is connected to my wireless network "talking" to a C4 base-station. This base-station interprets the wireless commands and sends them out via IR-emitters (for example to my TV and projector) or via Ethernet (to my ATV, satellite receiver AV receiver etc.). The commands stored within the C4 base-station are one-time set-ups. You hook up a (new) device to the remote system (which is based on linux), install a device-specific driver and you are set to go.

My suspicion is that by amending the Siri remote commands in 3.0.7/8 he commands are not 1:1 compatible anymore. A slight deviation from the standard is causing these problem. What else could happened as the remote is still working properly with all other devices hooked up to it and even ANY OTHER ATV app? None of the devices is facing any difficulties but the ATV - no, lemme correct myself - but MrMC.

EDIT:
Cool! :D
