Re: tvOS - (libdsm) Library Scan Skips Folders
Thanks for the tips. I created a new folder under Movies and put a video file there, but MrMC still didn't pick it up during scan with libdsm.
I made the change to the server as per the article, and it also didn't work
So to test more I browsed the Movies folder via Videos > Files and pressed play on the file and it played fine. If I "click" on the file, it even asks me to select a name from the list of possible matches to add it to the library. I selected cancel and then did a manual update of the library and it still didn't see it. It's as if it can see the file everywhere except via the library scan. Very odd.

So to be crystal clear, you can browse and play but lib scan does not see it ?

Re: tvOS - (libdsm) Library Scan Skips Folders
I have a similar issue. I changed nothing, but my entire movie and tv show library disappeared. I can see and play the files through the file list under video, but the library scan does not register them and it does not create a tv show and movie tab on the home screen. When I select update library, I am not even sure if it runs the scan. I have removed and added the network folders via nfs and smb and the scan still does not register the folders. Or it does not run the scan. I am not sure. But I can access them via the file list and play them.
Thoughts?
Thank you in advance for any help.

I just got around to trying again with the latest version, and I am still having this issue with version 2.3.0davilla wrote:So to be crystal clear, you can browse and play but lib scan does not see it ?
Is there anything else I could do to help resolve it?
Thanks!

Re: tvOS - (libdsm) Library Scan Skips Folders
Unfortunately, I enabled the log with debug, and it's basically the same output as in my first post. The scan keeps saying the directories don't exist when in reality they do, and I can even use the file browser to play a file directly. The scan just doesn't see the directories and files within them for some reason, but the browser and player do.
Code: Select all
