Heh, keeping more than one client in sync is not an easy task and for everyone's taste :)

Majority of people have one player box

I'd like to see a solution that uses iCloud in the future. Other apps can do this already. For instance, the game "Oceanhorn" supports this so when I got my AppleTV and downloaded the game there, my saved games showed up automatically.

So you could just sign your AppleTV into iCloud and then MrMC can grab the settings you've saved. The added benefit is it also would act as a backup of the settings.

I like the solution of using MySQL but it would be nice if there was a way to do the scanning of new content on the server side. With almost 10tb of content the scan to update can take a really long time and bog down the fTV.
Any thought of taking the scanner code from MRMC and putting it on the server?
