The testflight thread didn't mention anything about mediacodec and kickback to ffmpeg. Anything I should look for?

I have noticed that AVC (x264) playback will stutter when instantaneous bitrates reach about 32Mb/s as reported in the codec info.

I'll test out a file I have that I know taxes the CPU all the way (near 200% as reported in codec info)
