MrMC for tvOS 1.6.0 has been released.
There is one change. DivX support has been removed pending license negotiations.
1. No user installed addons are supported, python or otherwise.
2. No, they really are not supported.
3. They are not coming back

Any mention of illegal streaming sites, addons or any pirated material will not be tolerated. This is not democracy and any offenders will be banned and posts deleted immediately without warning.
Other than that, we hope you enjoy MrMC so far and we welcome any input and feedback you might have.

Can you tell a little more about DivX support ?
AFAIK, DivX is nothing more than MPEG4 Part 2, so it's a subset of the original MPEG4 standard. It's nothing more than Advanced Simple Profile, Level 5, with a selection of tools.
So any MPEG4 decoder can handle DivX/XVid video.
As far as I can remember the only part you needed licensing for was their DRM, but that died a long time ago.

Ya I notice a few old junk movies I got are actually DivX and do not play on latest MrMC (although a few still do). I never realized I had any of these old DivX files.
Good excuse to update those to HD or delete them for good.
But I hope the licensing thing gets resolved just so it is compatible.
