I mean a SAT>IP client, something like EyeTV or TIZI apps, I guess a sort of PVR plugin in MrMC, able to recognize a SAT>IP server and display the Tv, EPG.
Seems to be a new trend to replace the DVB-S boxes with SAT>IP servers connected directly to a router. There are also flat SAT dishes with integrated servers, you connect them directly to your router and get wireless or wired tv on all devices on your LAN.

most people seem to use a backend like tvheadend, then you can also record.
