You think so? I only moved onto the tvdb because I couldn't get The Movie Database to work. I't s always been TMDB that hasn't worked - even says so in the title. Why do you keep referencing TVDB, that's not my problem.amet wrote: 22 Nov 2019, 18:35I think we are misunderstanding each othersteelman1991 wrote: 22 Nov 2019, 08:00
I moved on to TVDB while I was unable to scrape from the Movie DB.....
1. No user installed addons are supported, python or otherwise.
2. No, they really are not supported.
3. They are not coming back
4. Read from 1. again

Geez where did that come from? you're a sensitive wee soulamet wrote: 23 Nov 2019, 05:03 I have tried to help, even being the paying customer doesn’t give you the right to talk like that... Good luck with the issues you have, i am out
All I did was ask why you kept referencing TVDB, when I had made it clear on several occasions that the issue was with the The Movie Database. I don't think I was being disrespectful in anyway and my question was reasonable given your previous responses. Another poster even pointed that out.
Thanks for the attempted assistance, but it wasn't relevant to my issue - which I re-iterate for the avoidance of doubt is with "The Movie Database".

Re: Scraping TV Shows from The Movie Database (includes log info)
I am not sensitive, certainly not wee
Point is that you tried tvdb, didn’t work for you and you went to tmdb... I pointed out that maybe now tvdb is working since there was trouble with it and I have fixed it yesterday.
Band of brothers returns 4 choices and incorrect one is selected, doing a refresh on the whole tv show( not on an episode) brings out a choice for me where I can select a correct one. Is that not the case for you?

What you are describing is the EXACT opposite of what I have explained.
"Point is I tried scraping using TMDB, it didn't work for me and I went to TVDB and you're right it worked. After successfully scraping with TVDB I only reverted back to TMDB to generate a second log to provide additional information for troubleshooting.
Again - this issue is about scraping TV shows using THE MOVIE DATABASE - not The TV Database (which as you correctly pointed is working correctly. Scraping from THE MOVIE DATABASE isn't.

I am sorry, my mistake... hopefully one of the other developers can assist you as I am obviously not fit to do so.

For @amet or anyone else who is remotely interested in this issue here are some pictures of what I am seeing when attempting to "refresh" incorrect/mismatched TV show information - from TMDB.
This is what is presented for Band of Brothers

This for Westworld

And a screenshot of unmatched shows

Hopefully now we have established that the issue is with TMDB, we can perhaps get a resolution

only me, so we are stuck together ...
I have added the same show here, it does incorrectly find it and only selecting ***** (2010) correctly adds the show(assuming you want that 2001 show).
I'll look more into it and why it has the incorrect character set
