[Request] Keep playback when navigating.

Post by batkite »

Hi,

I d'ont know if I miss something, but one feature I miss much is that when I click the "Menu" button on the remote during a video playback, it kills the video instead of letting it running in the backgroud while navigating the other menus.

Is this something you can get to work again ?

Thanks.

Is the setting not here (this is from the Kodi forums):

Settings -> Skin settings -> Fanart -> Show now playing video in background

menu to stop playback was inherited from how ATV1 and ATV2 do it , we can maybe do a setting for it but that is how many player applications do it and its definitely something we had in for years on earlier platforms

I think I recall using an alternate keymap in the past in fact, so it leads to a question already asked as it is not possible to change the mapping on ATV4 by ourselves.

Actually on the ATV4 the video still runs if I hold the clik on the pad but it brings me only to the current playlist from where it leads to nothing unless you're playing .pls or something like that.
Just a thaught but but holding the click on the pad could act as the "Back" command when in full screen..
