Testing MrMC 3.8.0 - [Invites Closed]

Feedback TF version MrMC Touch 3.8.0:

Screen resolution reported by MrMC on my iPhone 7plus (1920x1080) is not correct:

My iPad pro 9.7 shows correct resolution.

Update:

I downloaded the 2 Atmos mp4 files linked my another user.
Both trigger my receiver into DD Atmos/PCM mode, the same as I get when playing Atmos content in Netflix.

However, both files seem to result in black screen and unresponsive MrMC, and I have to press the Home button of my AppleTV remote, to escape, and then return into MrMC.

When I play any of my Atmos movies on my PC, the receiver says 'DD Atmos/DTHD'

I tried the in built Netflix app on my Smart TV, and it triggers my Receiver into Atmos, and reports 'DD Atmos/DD+'

The atmos that MrMC can support is DD+ Atmos, not TrueHD Atmos. That's why your movies don't trigger Atmos. There are very few test files out there with the DD+ Atmos audio track. But, as you've seen, content from Netflix and Amazon, etc. is DD+ Atmos.

Can you tell us where might we find those rare test files that aren't TrueHD?

For iOS:

First, it's a huge improvement from the last version, thanks! It connected to Plex and Emby with a pin and worked great. The touch interface on playback is WAY better! Gestures for swiping up/down to skip chapters and swiping left/right for -10/+30 seconds are good, but an option to turn those off would be good for some, too.

With icons set for TV Shows and Movies, the bottom row is about half hidden. Also, the setting to hide watched shows on the main screen (at least with Plex) doesn't actually hide watched shows. There's also no On Deck and seems to just be recently added. The volume slider is still meh. I couldn't hear anything with the sound at 80, so I think it needs to be adjusted a lot. On my iPad it takes 16 clicks at the home screen to go from full sound to mute. For MrMC I guess technically it would be 100 clicks.

I have tested other files (besides the same sample files we all have) and Atmos et. al. works as it should.

Will we be seeing any other changes in 3.8?

Have tried other videos with Atmos but these are not eac3+ I think.

I tried another video which was ddp 7.1 but the receiver showed flp, frp like on Atmos but it was only PCM. Does that makes sense?

I also got it not exiting when I first was testing but then when I was testing later it was working fine.

I’m slowly upgrading my hardware and today updated my ATV to ATV4k. My AVR and TV are not yet 4KI’ve got 3.8 installed and my Plex service is on Ariana. If I test a HEVC 4K it has a sort of posterized white washed look. Is there a setting I should change?
