I'm running the beta, so that's the 1.2 build that was pushed, right? Here's a log, from starting MrMC to the screensaver kicking in, to me backing back out to the main screen.

do you always monitor playback over json ? kodi remote maybe ?

nothing in log, I don't even see it moving inactive which it does when atv4 screensaver pops up.

I don't always monitor playback, and only occasionally use the Kodi remote... Sooo... Monitoring playback when watching TV it still shows the channel playing when the screensaver is up (and the audio still plays, so I know it's still playing behind the screensaver).

I've tried changing skins too just to make sure it's not an Amber skin issue, and it does the same thing in Confluence/MrMC.

I have turned on the codec info overlay, and while that's on the screensaver never turns on. Something weird there is that I don't get any PVR stream information, it just shows:

After that the rest doesn't show what I would expect it to (i.e. Signal quality is 0% and SNR is 0% and everything else is listed as 0's or Unknown.

Well, I know how to get around this now. From what I can tell, the Apple TV is reading it as an audio stream not a video stream.

If you set "General->Screensaver->Show During Music = Yes" then the screensaver will come on while the PVR is in use. If it's set to 'No' then the screensaver won't come on.
