Ver. 3.6.2 on Fire TV Cube, any skin, default select action= play.
After selecting TV show or movie file, instead of immediately playing, it pauses. Clicking play on remote or selecting play from the menu will then resume play. Am I missing a setting (recient convert from Kodi, so not sure)?

Looks like display switching is enabled. How long is the pause before resuming ?

It does not resume after pausing unless I intervene.

Turned off adjust display refresh rate, and issue is resolved.
Just for t-shooting purposes, the TV model is Samsung UN65K850D with software version T-JZMAKUC-1220.6,BT-S.

I have the same issue with my Firestick, with Refresh Rate switching enabled videos pause when playing and will only un-pause manually, I have tried adjusting with the pause before resuming setting but it didn't help
