@jrcorwin

If I run these, I get a nice match at zero audio offset. How are you doing it ?

Wow! Just installed the latest TF and the larger posters in Opacity indeed look great! Very well done!

Not sure this is the right thread, but a few more thoughts: (1) The "wall view" cuts off movie names for the lower level of posters. There are four rows for movie title. If you remove the space to two rows, there will be sufficient space for two rows of posters without reducing poster size. (2) background in main screen and font can be nicer (rf. to Plex addon for a nice and clean example).

Also, the "hole in the wall" issue is still there ;-)

I was just using regular content, but everything matches up with those test patterns. My eyes/ears must be playing tricks on me!

Or an issue with different audio format. Those test patterns are all HD audio types.

I took at look at those test files downloaded from mega.

Those three show I need 40-80ms delay. But, when watching a movie with DTS-HD I didn't really perceive a problem.

Ah, to have young eyes and ears again :)

Speed of sound in dry air is around 343 meters per second (1,125 ft/s) or about 0.343 meters per millisecond. That means cosmoxl sits at least 13.72 meters away from his speakers ( I'm joking ) :)

We (humans) also perceive audio delay errors better than audio advance errors.

Maybe I've got a huge living room! :)

Isn't the delay really because the TV lags a bit in rendering the picture relative to the audio?

HDMI spec 'should' include the audio delays up the chain. in the EDID. But we can't see the EDID in tvOS and I'm assuming they include that in the audio output latency we get back from AudioUnit. But if someone lies or is passing fake into, all bets are off :)

Concerning why channel logo's won't show in MrMC from TVMosaic server:

TVMosaic:

Code: Select all

00:27:40 T:6096711680   DEBUG: CCurlFile::GetMimeType - http://xxx.xxx.xxx:yyyy/stream/playback?object=13868c28-a9ad-4432-a90d-c4f161b57b99%3aNL_logo%2fEurosport+1+HD.png -> video/mpeg
DVBLink:

Code: Select all

00:35:31 T:6110195712   DEBUG: CCurlFile::GetMimeType - http://xxx.xxx.xxx:yyyy/dvblink/playback?object=c4bb498b-0542-46d8-a13d-59abef042af4%3aDE_logo%2fWDR.de.png -> image/jpeg
So channel logo's from TVMosaic are categorised as video/mpeg in MrMC, instead as image/jpeg, as seen in example from DVBLink.

Do you still need debug log and if so, can I send that by mail, so I don't need to clean it.
I am seeing all logos from TvMosaic test server
