So who got their receiver show dts master hd using MRMC.
On Direct mode it only shows me DTS.
Of note I am using a digital copy of blueray (m2ts extension)
Any help on this?
1. No user installed addons are supported, python or otherwise.
2. No, they really are not supported.
3. They are not coming back
4. Read from 1. again

I have the same problem
In fact, if I only have a DTS-MA track in my media file I don't get ANY audio (my receiver is capable)

Make sure you explicitly enable DTS passthough in setting. The setting is there, you have to switch to advanced level and scroll down.

Re: Dts-HD MAS
We received some reports of HD audio showing up on amps during testflighting. However, we disabled this ability as it was thought to be the root cause of sometimes playing with no audio. Once we get some breathing room, we can resume our investigation regarding HD audio passthrough.

The ATV4 AudioUnit API only reports 48Khz as a valid sample rate.VonMagnum wrote:On a more musical "DTS" note, will the new ATV output at 44.1kHz (e.g. DTS Music CDs) or is it locked to 48kHz like FireTV and the previous ATV2/3?

Just to confirm, DTS-HD passthrough is disabled currently on the live App Store version right?
But it is possible and will return in the future sometime?

If our findings are valid and stable, yes.PlatypusW wrote:Just to confirm, DTS-HD passthrough is disabled currently on the live App Store version right?

Re: Dts-HD MAS
I'm not sure if this would work but couldn't you just bit stream PCM at any sample rate and bypass the audio API in tvOS?davilla wrote:The ATV4 AudioUnit API only reports 48Khz as a valid sample rate.VonMagnum wrote:On a more musical "DTS" note, will the new ATV output at 44.1kHz (e.g. DTS Music CDs) or is it locked to 48kHz like FireTV and the previous ATV2/3?
There's already the option to convert to AC3 and pass that through, why couldn't the same also be done for PCM at a different sample rate?

Re: Dts-HD MAS
iOS will convert it to the actual hw device sample rates regardless of what you set. It's sneaky.
