Maybe it's a placebo effect, but I haven't seen the two error messages anymore, while I'm sure the NAS went into a sleep mode a couple of times (after 30 mins). Looks like it now just "hangs" for a few secs, like Kodi does.

About the remote, I'm in favour of kinetic scrolling:

- Slowly swipe upper part to down without leaving the touchpad is slow scrolling, one line at a time, down.
- Slowly bottom part to up without leaving the touchpad is slow up, one line at a time, down.
- Double tap on upper part of touchpad is go to top list
- Double tap on lower part of touchpad is go to end of list
- Quick swipe from top to bottom (without leaving touchpad) quickly scroll down, perhaps 10 items
- Quick swipe from bottom to top (without leaving touchpad) quickly scroll up, perhaps 10 items
- You could add a third speed, e.g. 2 secs = 10 lines, 1 sec = 20 lines

Don't you think you implemented a skip feature. You could this via a pinch action. E.g. pinch to zoom out (thumb + index finger) = 20 secs each time, make it a setting.

Oops.. missed that. However, I'm also stubborn in sticking to my Harmony Remote. For scrolling through folders, an IR remote is still much nicer (and faster).

The remote is an improvement but could still get better, you need to swipe through the whole touch area for just one row in the list, this could be more dynamic as in other apps. The tap on the edge was a nice improvement!

Regarding scrubbing in a movie, I kind of like it as it is. No need for same as Netflix etc but it would perhaps be preferable for some users.

Still getting two consecutive errors when opening NAS folders:

STREAM error
Couldn't connect to drive

happens when the NAS is in sleep mode amd has to wake up

About the remote:
- Holding upper and lower edge doesn't always work for me. Sometimes it doesn't react. When it works, seems a bit slow to me.
- Still issue that sometimes scrolling seems to be stuck in a funny mode. Then you scroll 10 items at a time vs. one normally. Going back (hit Menu) and select folder again fixes it.
- Fast forward and back via right and left edge of touchpad works ok. Seems fine.

Now I've tested the remote again, knowing how I'm supposed to use it.

The tap to skip i really like, it's much more precise and fast than swiping and i love that it's silent, not having to push a physical button.

Scrolling lists by hold+swipe works most of the time, but just as loekf2 said, sometimes it just bugs out and starts to superscroll at hyperspeed.
But it's kind of counter intuitive that you have to touch and hold completely still for a while, before moving, otherwise it's just the old move one item per swipe.
I think it'd feel better if it entered the new mode directly upon touching the pad, regardless of motion, otherwise you miss the cue of how it works. Things like that shouldn't have to be taught, just discovered.
And it's very hard to find the right speed, you almost always under- or overshoot and have to swipe swipe swipe to hit the item you were gunning for.

I understand it's a lot of work translating touch input into scrolling, which I guess is still interpreted as button clicks under the hood.
Maybe you could use the mouse input method of the desktop versions as some sort of starting point, minus the actual cursor?
I don't know, just rambling, I know too little about what you're dealing with.

And, as someone before pointed out, sometimes it doesn't register the button click when you want to start the selected list item.
Maybe it senses slight touch motion before and ignores the click?

That's it for now, will probably post more feedback about other aspects later.

I'm not involved in testing, but I would suggest making it scroll up/down about 3 or 4 items which would mimic how it works elsewhere in tvOS.

Apple remote seems to respond better in this build. I wish scrolling up and down will be similar to Infuse. More fluid and apple-like.
Please include more option to change skins. I would love to the quartz skin to be included.
