Need to frequently restart MrMC

Hey there,
So, I'm using MrMc for 3 days now and noticed that I frequently need to restart it, else the playback of video just stops suddenly. I've a samba share setup, setup buffer size to 150MB and readrate factor to 15.
Now, if MrMc has been open for say a day and I playback a Movie the next day it suddenly stops. If I start it again, it works for a few minutes and then stops again. But if I restart MrMc, it works good.
Every time the playback stopped, the log said this:
Code: Select all
23:03:03 T:6156103680 NOTICE: CDVDPlayerAudio::Process - stream stalled
So, what could be the reason? Has to be RAM, right?

Why 150mb buffer? What's wrong with standard settings?
I use MrMC on 4 different TVs all pulling from a local qnap, no issues with any files and playback with default settings.
I would love to see a
debuglog of the failed session/playback.

weird, I thought max read rate factor was 10.

Because, I use wlan (I know but no possibility at all for ethernet here) and without setting the buffer higher it stops every 5-10 min for buffering, which is annoying. Here is the debuglog after the video suddenly stopped:
http://pastebin.com/Tveti7X2
Do you think the buffer setting causes it? Any help is appreciated!
@cosmoxl: 20 is max.
EDIT: Oh, and restart doesn't help this time. It stopped 1 time after that and then continued playing back seamlessly. Must be some other fault, but "ERROR: Read - Error( -1, 60, Operation timed out )" could be everything...:/

it all points to slow wlan, I use AC router and its faster than wired on Apple TV4.
lets see what @davilla thinks

Nah, can't be slow wlan, got 300 Mbit/s AC in local network. But I think its an error on server side and not the client, I'll continue trying to debug this...thanks nevertheless!

Server side issue, maybe your disks on server went to sleep ? Amet runs AC wifi, I run wired to a QNAP using either
SMB or DSM (also
SMB). I never see similar issues. Also my QNAP never sleeps it's disks as it's set up as a 6 disk RAID. I'm of the camp that sleeping disks can cause disk issues over the long term (start/stop/start/stop cycles). Keep everything in a nice steady state

Nah, how can my disk go to sleep when I'm currently watching a movie via
SMB?

It happened since I updated my raspberry from wheezy to jessie. I just updated the firmware too, so far no errors. I'll keep observing, hopefully this was it!

if you buffer a lot more than you eat, then the time between hitting the disks can get longer. If that time is longer than you disk sleep time, you can have the disks drop to sleep while watching
