changes since 2.6.0 release version

- many bugfixes and cosmetics
- fixed, missing rar checks. fixes rar playback
- disable native ios/tvos as3 and eac3 on pvr, use ffmpeg
- disable screensaver if slideshow is playing, tvos/android
- fixed, android behavior when playing audio/video and pushed to background
- fix video playback from Home Shelf
- plex: in progress/recently added selector (Settings -> Library -> Vidoes - > Display In Progress items on home screen)
- plex: playback from HomeShelf, check if we have multiple resolutions for the movie and play selected one
- skin.amber: enable custom backgrounds for Movies/tv shows if only plex is enabled
- skin.amber: fix overlay for watched/unwatched status
- skin.amber: fix static vertical menu setting
- upstream sync. fixed audio glitch when stream changes midflight
- fixed, only update plex clients if playback is stopped
- fixed stutter on tvOS when seeking.
- fixed, a/v syncing, c/p monster
- upstream sync, log failed texture loading
- changed, plex server. cancel curl transfers if thread stop is requested
- upstream sync, ae, passthrough, video renderer and dvdclock

Excellent job! I'm excited to see continuing improvements. I can't wait until my firetv updates!

Is there a trick to getting the update?
I've tried:
1) going to http://www.amazon.com and requesting the current version be delivered, and
2) going to setting/my account/sync on the firetv, and
3) rebooting the firetv.

after all of that I'm still on MRMC 2.6GIT:2016-08-10-54AB06E

I do have my fireOS held at 5.0.5. Could that be causing a problem?

If you already have MrMC there, it should update. Nothing was changed regarding manifest.

the updates got to be late last night. I'm very excited.
