Can't stop live TV

Hi all,

First post after tossing around between different multimedia centres that could handle live tv, recording and my other media.
My config is as follows:
- QNAP TS-453A on which I have all my musioc, movies, photos, etc
- Dvblink running on the QNAP NAS. Tuner is an HD homerun connect
- apple TV 4

I have added the dvblink pvr add on and configured it and everything seems ok. I can play recordings, live tv, etc.
The problem I have is with the live TV
When pressing the epple tv remote, on the bottom of the screen I have a popup bar showing the channel being played, the show, etc.. as well as some buttons such as fast forward, play, pause, stop, etc.
Similar to kodi.
The problem is that I can not access any of those buttons. In particular the stop button is I want to stop the tv.
Swiping left/right, up/down on the remote does not do anything.
Pressing up/down changes channels while pressing left/right simply fast forward or rewind. I can press the play/pause on the remote and it will indeed play/pause the live TV.
But I can't find a way to stop it. I have configured the menu button on the remote to not to stop the playback so I could reconfigure it so that it stop it but I would rather not.
The only way to stop the live tv is to either exit the app, switch to another app or play something else which I might not be able to stop anyway.
Any suggestion?

On a different note, when configuring the videos files or photos files, the app crashes if I select SMB shares or zeroconf share.
The only solution for me is to connect to my library via upnp (Emby or plex)

so you can't navigate to "stop" button when in OSD?

I'll look into it, in the meantime could you pull up MrMC.log please http://forum.mrmc.tv/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=373

Yes correct. I can't navigate to the bottom part of the screen where you can find the stop button, fast forward, etc.
I will pull up the log and post it

no the mrMc default one.
I think from memory - I am not in front of the screen - it is amber, the first one on the list of available skin.
I can perform a test with the default skin

actually trying to get the log is almost impossible. i typed the ip address of my apple tv + 8080 and it takes forever to load the page. in fact it seems that the page can never been loaded. the page is showing profiles, remote, etc.. and mrmc log. but a click on those options has no effect.

Something really strange is going on with your setup, in all 4 skins I can navigate in OSD using Siri Remote and old silver Apple remote.

Webui also works great for me on all 5 devices I have.

I'll check with @davilla how we can troubleshoot the log issue. Do you have a Mac with Xcode by any chance?

Yes I have a Mac and Xcode. Out of curiosity can you describe your procedure to navigate in the osd using the Siri Remote? Maybe I am doing something wrong. I am doing the following:
While in live tv or watching a recording, I press the Siri Remote.
This brings up the osd on the bottom of the screen
From there if I swipe the remote in any direction, nothing happens. If I click, it pauses and I can see in the osd the pause button turning into a play button

have you tried tapping(not clicking) the edges of the remote?

by default swipe is disabled in fullscreen playback and can be enabled in Settings -> system -> input devices -> disable swipe controls in OSD but ONLY if siri remote support has been enabled in the first line
