MrMC

Hi.

I've been using MRMC on atv4 for a while now.

It's great!!

I had used wmc for MANY years and enjoying the MRMC experience

The one thing I miss from wmc is the grouped view for recorded tv.

In wmc u can group by show name. When u have a lot of unwatched shows this is really useful. This feature means that recorded shows only show once at the top level and after u click on a show it then displays all the eps.

In MRMC tv recordings I can see an option to group items ... But I can't see any visible change when turned on or off.

What is this supposed to do? Is it a similar feature to the wmc feature described above?

Btw .. I am currently using the "Amber" skin but the same outcome happens on the "MRMC" skin

I would love anyone's help to get this working if it is the feature described

Otherwise it would be amazing if this was added as a feature.

If you set the content of that folder to TV then the scanner should pick up what show it is and do exactly what you're saying. If you did that and it's not working it could be due to a few things but usually it's how things are named or sorted. How's your folder directory and naming scheme for the TV shows set up?

I'm using NextPVR and my recordings are already grouped by show name. I didn't change any setting. I'm surprised it isn't the same for everybody.

I am using server wmc. There was a checkbox in the server configure to tell it to group shows into folders (which I hadn't ticked)

Once I did. It all worked as it is supposed to
