How to stop and exit a video?

I’ve added an NFS share and I can see the videos, although the names of the folders aren’t even close to the actual names of the folder on the server.
That’s not the biggest issue. Once I start a video, there is no way to stop or pause! The controls show at the bottom of the screen, but they do nothing. Any ideas?
