crash upon loading TV guide

On both ATV 4K and iPhone, mrmc crashes upon loading the Live TV guide.
I'm using the vBox client.
I know it's an issue with the guide because when I reload the EPG on the TV streamer, mrmc doesn't crash while the reload is incomplete. But once the EPG is fully downloaded, it crashes.
The strange thing is that this happened all of a sudden. It was previously working just fine.
I initially experienced this on my ATV (full version). So I downloaded the lite version on my iPhone to try because I saw a similar complaint on the iOS forum, and true enough I'm able to replicate the issue on iOS. Except in my case, both reinstalling the app and resetting the TV box didn't help.
