I’ve been using MrMC for many years now and rarely had much issues with it until the past couple of months.

At some point somewhere around November I believe, my scanned categories started disappearing from the Homescreen regularly. I’ve made sure my Apple TV has enough disk space and I even reinstalled MrMC twice now, starting over from scratch, but still this keeps happening...

The Media sources I configured remain visible but their content types get reset apparently.

Usually the categories remain fine for a couple of days, until they disappear again...

That usually means that tvOS deletes the database from under us... unfortunately nothing we can do about that and it keeps happening randomly.... whenever tvOS decides its needed

Best suggestion I have is to use MySQL database if you have the option to do so.

I have a Synology NAS so it’s possible, but I have no experience doing that. Any suggestions how to get started?
