And does it show its connected to internet?

It’s strange, we get that info from Apple TV and it shows fine here

I never noticed this before, but it's the same on my 2nd ATV on which still is running MrMC v3.9.2.
Link and Internet are connected.

Maybe there is problem around ipv6? I toggled the switch to enable/disable ipv6, but without any effect.

I added a third log later on, where you find another try against the TV-server.

Meanwhile I dropped the video databases 112 and 116. The conversion took place, but the waiting time still happens.
ok, I see whats happening....

on my side is a bit slow but not alarming, issue is with the new Kodi database and call that was introduced there: "SELECT * FROM season_view WHERE season_view.idShow"

Code: Select all

19:25:17.498 T:6183104512   DEBUG: RunQuery took 5001 ms for 9 items query: SELECT * FROM season_view  WHERE season_view.idShow = 387
as you can see, it takes 5 seconds here... I searched for it a bit and the issue is definitely with Kodi database. -> https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=340340

suggested fix is here -> https://forum.libreelec.tv/thread/13990 ... post108409

Code: Select all

# * Query Cache Configuration
query_cache_limit	= 2M (was 1)
query_cache_size = 32M (was 16)
I have added it to my qnap MySQL (MariaDB) server and it seems to help a lot

Code: Select all

19:56:22.590 T:6112096256   DEBUG: RunQuery took 1 ms for 9 items query: SELECT * FROM season_view  WHERE season_view.idShow = 387
if we want kodi database compatibility, this is what it takes ...

I am one step further. The waiting problem must be associated to the handling of TV shows. All my movies (on a separate NFS connected NAS) play as expected without any remarkable pause. Two of my shows are stored on this ‚movies-NAS‘ as well, and the same effect occurs here.

Yes, I can confirm that this is the clue, the response time is down to 5 seconds now. I would suggest you mention this in the release notes for the mysql users.

Maybe it‘s even better to check the necessary indices and/or reindex the database.

I am not sure it has to do with indexing the database, it’s more of the server cache limit if I understood correctly.

Is apple tv getting ipv6 address from the router? If so, we don’t currently support that, but it’s on the to-do list
