And does it show its connected to internet?
It’s strange, we get that info from Apple TV and it shows fine here

No, that‘s the wrong one.
I added a third log later on, where you find another try against the TV-server.
Meanwhile I dropped the video databases 112 and 116. The conversion took place, but the waiting time still happens.
ok, I see whats happening....
on my side is a bit slow but not alarming, issue is with the new Kodi database and call that was introduced there: "SELECT * FROM season_view WHERE season_view.idShow"
I am one step further. The waiting problem must be associated to the handling of TV shows. All my movies (on a separate NFS connected NAS) play as expected without any remarkable pause. Two of my shows are stored on this ‚movies-NAS‘ as well, and the same effect occurs here.

if we want kodi database compatibility, this is what it takes ...
Yes, I can confirm that this is the clue, the response time is down to 5 seconds now. I would suggest you mention this in the release notes for the mysql users.
Maybe it‘s even better to check the necessary indices and/or reindex the database.

I never noticed this before, but it's the same on my 2nd ATV on which still is running MrMC v3.9.2.
Link and Internet are connected.
Maybe there is problem around ipv6? I toggled the switch to enable/disable ipv6, but without any effect.
Is apple tv getting ipv6 address from the router? If so, we don’t currently support that, but it’s on the to-do list
