what type of subs ? debuglog so we can tell

All subtitles in Bluray 4K HDR have too much and distracting bright, in last versions of Kodi the same subtitles have less bright, this is why I still use Kodi for 4k and HDR. I have a oled TV maybe is part of the problem.

Original subtitles from the m2ts file in HDR have too much bright, external subs work ok in HDR.

I also noticed that the subtitles a very bright in HDR. Maybe there could be a setting to dim them or do automatically when HDR is deteted.

Logs contains that I started a HDR movie with englisch subtitles which are to bright.

Also the Interface is very bright in HDR, maybe this one could be adjusted, too.

The last versions of KODI dim the bright and white of the subs in HDR.
