Fire tv audio output transcoding

I’m testing a Sonos Playbar driven by optical out from a Samsung TV. The playbar does not support DTS. I’ve found that DTS movies will play if I enable
Passthrough and deselect audio capabilities above Dolby digital.
Am I correct that MRMC is transcoding DTS to Dolby Digital? Is this a supported feature, and are there any issues you see?
Thanks
Dave

"Enable Dolby Digital (AC3) transcoding" is the (obviously supported) setting that does the magic.

I never needed this before, but I do now, thanks.
In MRMC, I don't see the ""Enable Dolby Digital (AC3) transcoding" option that I do in Kodi.

Thanks. Does it matter if IEC packed is checked. I get sound from DTS movies either way.
