When I tried to run MrMC this morning it got stuck on "Loading database, please wait".
I rebooted the AppleTV, but that didn't help.
I am using a shared MySQL database.
In the past, MrMC has connected to and used this database with no problems.
I also have a Raspberry Pi running OSMC which is still on Kodi 15.2. It can connect to and use the MySQL database just fine.
How do I fix this?

Never mind. I deleted the app and reinstalled and all is well.
But, I still wonder what happened…..
1. No user installed addons are supported, python or otherwise.
2. No, they really are not supported.
3. They are not coming back
4. Read from 1. again

Without the log we'll never know what happened.

Re: Stuck On: "Loading database, please wait"
This happened to me again, right after installing the 2.1 update. And, again, the only solution was to delete and reinstall MrMC.
Unfortunately, there's no way to get the log because when the splash screen shows "Loading database, please wait", the web server does not function, nor does the iOS Kodi remote app.
Of course, deleting MrMC also deletes the log file….

Re: Stuck On: "Loading database, please wait"
Kodi 15.2, MrMC 2.x is Kodi 16.x and that means a database version bump/migrate.
What you are seeing as stuck might be the migration, depending on size, it can take some time.
It would be best to have all clients running the same database version.

Re: Stuck On: "Loading database, please wait"
The database had already been migrated. I have another Apple TV running MrMC which had already been upgraded to 2.x.
Let me clarify the exact sequence of events:
Let me clarify the exact sequence of events:
- Brand new AppleTV
Set up AppleTV
Download MrMC 2.0
Set up MrMC and verify that it works with existing MySQL database
Upgrade AppleTV OS
Run MrMC which gets stuck on "Loading database, please wait"
Try to look at log file via web interface, but it's not running
Uninstall and reinstall MrMC
All is well

Re: Stuck On: "Loading database, please wait"
OK I am stuck here also. I have been doing a lot of work on my home and so mysql database ended up moving from one fixed IP to another fixed IP. When I went to load MrMC and make the changes to the IP address I got stuck on "Loading database, please wait". I cannot gather a logfile since it is not up and running. I am thinking I will have to delete and reinstall.
