Hello, does anyone know how to upgrade the version of MySQL on my Mac? I've looked on my mysql website and there are no instructions for Mac. The last time I tried using the installer, if just installed the new version along side the old version and I had to redo my database in the new version.

I'm still occasionally having problems with MySQL and hoping eventually a newer version might solve it. At random times MrMC just stops working correctly with my library and I find shutting MySQL off on my Mac and starting it up again solves the problem. I've posted about this before and it appeared that MySQL is having problems and crashing.
