Remote unresponsive when adding network location

I found a problem. Go here:
Videos > Add Files > Add Videos > Browse > Add Network Location
A box opens, click the browse button. Another box opens called "Lock preferences for
smb://". You can click and move around and enter your info but as soon as you press the menu button, you're stuck - the remote no longer functions there and you have to force quit.
This may happen in other Source boxes but this one I can replicate every time.

it might help to fill in server name or browse to fill it in.

The point is that I cliked browse, and when I click the menu button the remote no longer works.

is libdsm enabled or disabled ?

instead of doing 'add network location', click on the
smb item or zeroconfig (for libdsm)
