Does mrmc even support folder structure playback for uhd rips? Do you have to select the largest mt2s file from a list or something?

. Incredibles 2 issue might have been a seamless branching issue though (thats where things get confused, since dropouts also occurred on seamless branched uhd's when ripped to mkv, however if you leave the folder structure intact they did not.)

The rest are definitely high bitrate dropouts, pirates and guardians of the galaxy however i have witnessed in these locations on all shield applications i have tried from plex to xbmc, to mrmc. My zappiti which uses realtek chipset has no such issue on the same titles where I see dropouts on the shield.

This is from the myce post

Incredibles 2” - Soft Drop : eg drops at 3:16 at the seamless branching point where it goes to the Incredibles 2 spinning logo
“Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Men Tell No Tales” - Hard Drop : eg drops out a couple of times between 17:45 and 19:00 minutes into the movie (I actually seen a dropout when the ship pops out of the water on the opening sequence)
“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol II” - Hard Drop : eg drops out at 1:09:24 where TaserFace gets killed is one example.
“Maze Runner: The Death Cure” - Hard Drop : eg Right at the beginning of the Main Title when the 20th Century clip is running

Keep in mind this is not a long list, but it does effect a few titles, specifically high bitrate disney titles.

I suppose I would have to give it a shot outside of plex integration since I do not think plex recognizes folder structure. Although folder structure is not the way i store my library.

Right. To play disk images and folders you must access the files directly, not through plex.

With the latest build, 2019-03-27-fbc7256. I’m having issues with video stuttering still on some 1080p files that work perfectly with SPMC. Disabling “Advanced timing” fixes it but then audio sync is off. I have the shield and MRMC set to 24fps because that’s the only way I can get an 4K HDR signal to our projector. The files I’m having issues with are at 24fps too of course. Could you check into this when you have a moment? Thank you all again for all your hard work.

using my nvidia sheild at 4k whenever my content is 1080p the ui is too big for the screen causing subtitles to be cut of.
if i disable "match resolution" there is no issue.

its an annoying issue, i either disable the resolution matching or set my ui to 4x less

Edit.

Ignore this. My TV had some stupid overscan on 1080p setting on that i never saw.

I also experience this problem, I get headaches watching anything with MRMC, I had to switch to Kodi for the time being.

It is like if the frames are completely async. Panning scenes are a pain to watch. I have been experiencing this issue for quite some time now. Kodi or SPMC works perfectly.

No auto Resolution switch after last beta versions

Post by eyosha »

Hi
as of the last beta versions auto resolution switch even when turned on as before does not work
I tried FHD content, 720p, 480p it stays on the default resolution (4K)
log is here: https://pastebin.com/ZZhzvmyL
In the log you'll see 2 files one 480p and another is 1280x720
the log also state the resolution stays the default (if I understand the log correctly)
