Option to refresh Library on focus/timed interval

The rest of my family can't grasp the concept of manually updating the library, so for now MrMC is "broken" until I fix it each day.

It would be great if there was an option to always update library hourly and/or when the app goes back into focus. I know the app already scans at 'startup' but if the app is simply in the background and not completely end-tasked then it doesn't count right now.

I understand that some users have larger libraries and/or slower networks and that this behavior would not be desirable for them, but for those of us who do want it it would be a great option.

For Kodi this was an addon already; I'd just love to see it baked into MrMC proper...

I second this.

Another option is to add a "refresh" or "reload" button on the main page. Plex has a "reload" button that makes library refreshes straightforward.

In main Skin, go left and "upadate library"

I understand that, but my problem is the rest of my family can't be bothered with such a complicated endeavor.

That's why I, personally, would just prefer an auto-update mechanism...

It's being worked on, but not for 1.2.0 ... Next version will have it

Great news - I came here looking to see if this was asked for.
