Hi team,
My music files are stored on a directory called Music on my NAS Synology (SMB connectivity with MrMc).
I created a MUSIC library within MrMc and I can see all mp3 music files from my library.
Indeed, I am facing 2 major issues :
(1) Each time I select and enter within the MrMc Music Directory, MrMc is reloading the entire library which takes a long time before being able to see the music library list.
(2) When the music library appears, I cannot launch any of the mp3 file, MrMc does not play any file from my MUSIC library. It always crashed.

Do you have any idea what could cause these issues and how to solve them ?

are you using Kodi iOS remote ? if so, there's a known issue regarding music libs.

No, I am not using any Kodi remote, only the Apple TV4 remote control.
Another issue sometimes appears when clicking on the Music Directory which says "Too many open files". I do not understand what it means...
Need to reboot the Apple TV4 to solve this issue but still cannot play any mp3 music file.

Do you know if application updates are automatic or manual on the Apple TV4 ?
Are we also notified for updates ?
It seems no application update since I bought my Apple TV4 on beginning of December...

as I said in one of my replies to you, we are waiting for apple to approve 1.1.0


if you chose your SMB share by selecting a server and entering user/pass and look for music folder, without loading it into library... can you play a music file from there?

This way it works fine.
Music playing (mp3 file) is ok.

I would like to be able to use the iPad remote - is this fixed yet?

it is, apple is being slow in accepting updates...
