Does anyone has this problem:
From my mac i was able to add my library.
Metadata scanned and downloaded but not able to play files. error: unable to play one or more files please check log.
Need help please.

What type of content are you playing from your Mac? You probably aren't looking at iTunes content, but if you are, it can't play it because of the DRM.

I was in the same boat, using OS X EI capitan, had to install SMBup in order to make it work, I believe MrMC, at the moment, doesn't support the SMB used in EI capitan.

Ah yes - I've seen other conversations about that. I'm using a NAS as my data source, so I've not ran into that issue.

MKV files trying to see if DTS HD works on it.

you have to tell it to scan. just setting the metadata type does just that. sets the type.

how do I tell it to scan it?
