Hi,

When attempting to start a video file from the official Kodi remote app in the iOS AppStore by selecting an item in the movies/tvshows library directly on my iPhone display within the remote app, MrMC instantly crashes. Navigating with the arrow buttons within the remote app on the television itself and starting the item manually by pressing the OK button all works fine.

I cannot image that this wasn't noticed by testers.

Using;
- latest tvOS
- several NFS shares on a nas
- video files in several containers (and CoDecs)

Other minor issues:
- MrMC identifies itself as a pre-alpha version in the remote control app
- add-on menu items are still available in the main menu (even though they are not functional).
- Also some letters in the text a cutoff on the display calibration screen (Dutch language).

These are issues noticed within the first 10 minutes of use without actually hunting for issues, so many more are likely to exist.

I have the same problem, opening files directly from the list of files in the Kodi remote app crashes MrMC and apple tv goes back to main screen.

I have also the same.

When using kodi remote and select a movie or a tv serie it crashes, only when selecting a trailer also on the same directory on the nas it works right.

Further when i add a smb symbolic i cannot remove it?

I also have the same problem.

Playing a movie directly from the Movies screen in Kodi Remote causes MrMC to crash.

This is unfortunate as in most other respects, Kodi Remote seems like the most effective way to navigate MrMC on Apple TV. I find it much nicer to use than the Siri Remote as it doesn't suffer from any of the responsiveness glitches reported elsewhere on this forum

I've also tried the Apple Remote app as an alternative control method for MrMC but it barely works at all

p.s. Thanks to Scott et al for all the hard work to get MrMC this far. It's a better 1.0 product than I could have hoped for and gets me half way to replacing my Mac Mini media centre - I just need the BBC to release their iPlayer for Apple TV now...

Kodi iOS remote -> play video crash is fixed. Unfortunately, the fix was found too late for the 1.1.0 that was pushed for last Apple review window in 2015. The cause of this crash was very tricky to find and took over three days of deep investigation.

What is the changelog for 1.1.0?

The change log for 1.1.0 comes out when 1.1.0 comes out

We never know Apple's review time line so if they ponk us for something, we fix it and add whatever else has been completed back into the review mixmaster. So, the change log for 1.1.0 might be final, might be more, might be less. It all depends on the review mixmaster. That being, we don't want to post inaccurate information so we wait.

I know the cutoff for submitting has gone but when is the cutoff for apps getting updates released before 2016? Wednesday 23rd?

Dec 22, to Dec 29. No App review, no external testflight beta review.
