MrMC

Hi,

I own a NAS, which holds all my media, it also acts as a Plex Server, etc.
Around the house I have all kind of clients - ATV3, ATV4, iPads, iPhones, etc. - I am using Plex native apps and all works well.

Now, I want to add a PVR ability on the ATV4 client, so I installed TVheadend server on a Raspberry Pi and also NextPVR on the NAS (Win7) to try it out and choose one of those solutions, the PLEX native app have channels for those but its not fully supporting the things i need.
I must have the ability to do:
1. LiveTV
2. Record and watch recordings during the recording process.
3. Timeshift - pause and rewind a live stream.
4. Nice to have - Can I have the look and feel of PLEX app somehow? I'm sure MrMC is wife friendly My but my wife already used to working with PLEX.

My question is if MrMC can provide this?

1) via TVheadend/NextPVR yes
2) via TVheadend, yes
3) via TVheadend
4) No, sorry but if you want the GUI to look like a Plex App, use Plex App. The point of the Plex Client is to bring Plex access into MrMC and that means presenting it how the skin GUI design defines it.

We do have a new skin in progress for MrMC. Almost ready for testflight testing but not quite yet.

looks like TVheadend it is..
one more question, ATV4 have a dashboard, can i choose what to place in the dashboard quick launch? or it just automatically choose the most used item or something?

when you say "dashboard", you mean items on the TopShelf?

those are Recently added and inProgress movies/tvshows ... whatever shows on MrMC home screen will be displayed there
