Posted: 18 Apr 2017, 21:22
Update: Problem still persists. It just tricks CodecInfo. I dont know...
tested with this:https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwxFVk ... d2VEk/view
gets choppy after a while
Hey guys,
I hope this will be completely fixed in the new MrMC version. But until then you might want this workaround.
(This was very frustrating for me, davilla knows. And I am happy as shit , while typing this right now)
1.Go to Homescreen of your FireTV.
2.On the new FireOS hold the Rewind Button (◄◄) and Up Button (on the circle) on your remote. Keep them pressed until the screen goes black. You can now release the buttons.
What you see now is the hidden Resolution Cycle Menu of the FireTV.
3.Wait until it shows 1080p 24hz.
4.Then click ok. Your sceen is now at 1080p 24hz.
Now launch up MrMC and play a movie. I have no more dropped frames according to CodecInput Diagnosis And my eyes can confirm it too
Note: Your FireTV UI will act slow, since you are on 24hz. You can change back to 60hz in the official Settings Menu, after you are finished watching your movie. However to get the hidden 24hz option you have to do the button combination again.
