uh oh. I just went to playback a DVD folder and it's not working. Weird that it worked in earlier testing. Logs here http://pastebin.com/sbRhL7UA

I tried selecting play on the parent folder, and selecting video_ts.ifo.

just got another crash, this time clicking the back button to stop live TV. I sent logs by email and here are the last few seconds of MrMC old.log

plays for me on all platforms including our osx dev. Also plays in the OSX 'DVD Player', yet fails in VCL (OSX).
I do notice that the menu for this DVD is broken, could be why it fails in VLC.
I see a brief flash of the menu (in OSX DVD Player and VLC) then it nothing.

If you select the 'menu' in OSD in MrMC, it will fail and kick out. But Play on parent or select on video_ts.ifo seems to work.

EDIT: also noticed this, if you have 'attempt to skip intro before menu' selected in settings, then Play on parent or select on video_ts.ifo will fail as it tried to pop up the dvd menu, which fails on this sample.

the "attempt to skip menu" setting was it. thanks for troubleshooting!

crashing every time I open the app and use the directional pad or joystick of the shield controller. Sorry I hadn't messed with that until now. Been busy with other things. it also didn't occur to me that it might behave differently.

Edit: sorry about that guys. Looks like just a reboot was needed. Working fine now.

removed incorrect findings

up and down directional pad buttons on the shield controller don't skip chapters but 10 minutes. shield remote does chapters. can/should that be fixed?
