I disabled VideoToolBox acceleration and only left AVF checked. Still the same results.
debuglog and
mediainfo on the mediafile, please.
I saw the above post so I tried it myself. It's using ff-hevc, not AVF.

I'm sorry to get everyone's hopes up with my
passthrough bug reports for tvOS 11 but it's broken in the latest build as well, I can't even start a video with an AC3 track with
passthrough enabled - here's the
log.
full
debuglog please, can't tell what's going on when the log is cut.
Sorry, here it is:

I finally got my new Yamaha AVR hooked up. With enable
passthrough checked, the Dolby Natures Fury file labelled EAC3ATMOS /8 lights up on my display as “Atmos/PCM”. I’m not sure why it has the slash /PCM.
I get the same display I the Dolby Trailer Leaf.
If I play a DCA/6 file or a AC3/6 file I don’t see DTS or Dolby Digital though, I only see PCM displayed. Should it display DTS or DD? My audio setting in the ATV4k are “Auto,Atmos Available”.

That's all as it should be. The atmos/PCM is because atmos metadata can be passed via PCM, which is what is happening.
No
passthrough is supported by tvOS so that's why DTS or DD doesn't "light up" but only PCM.

Will the person that supplied 'Batman vs. Superman_cutted.m2ts' send me an email
I'd like to know how you got eac3/atmos (E-AC-3+Atmos / E-AC-3) and dolbyvision (1.0, dvhe.stn@uhd24, BL+RPU) extracted from a blue-ray.

Got the latest.
Nice new entry animation.
The problem of DD+ Atmos files hanging at the end may be fixed. Will continue to test.
The problem of the previously mentioned HDR file not triggering HDR is still there.
