He just means its possible in general with the right Dolby insiderinfo which we will never get. So ofc no Dolby Vision coming and its a HUGE shame. It would boost the Apple 4k big time many would buy it immediately myself included a new DV era would begin it would change mankind....
But no chance
I want to buy the Apple TV 4k and play dual layer DV stuff that would be out of this world. How much money for support do you want davilla? 50 bucks? ^^

If this is such a life changing feature, why not buy a DV blu-ray player and be done with it???

In general, it can play Dolby Vision but as mentioned before only the single layer found in normal streaming files. Dual layer tracks like what's on a UHD disc that have been ripped to a file can't be played on any streaming device.

Enough is enough. Bought an Oppo 203 weeks ago. Either you go with DV into the future or no DV at all.

Let’s see what porn industry decides, that’s where the decisions are made.... Beta vs VHS and Blu-ray vs HD DVD comes to mind

He said the first step is to demux your mpeg4 (possibly even mkv as it does actually store the DV EL still) or m2ts.. Well, the largest m2ts from a UHD BD-Rip can be found in the bdmv\stream folder, and then TSMuxer program shows both the BL+EL (Base Layer - uhd hdr10, and Enhancement Layer - 1080p DV) and it has a demux option you can select which should split it apart.. then just follow what he said in step 2 and 3 to add them back into that Dolby Mp4 Muxer program and test out your new single layer DV mp4??
