This means that the Receiver must support LPCM audio, i.e. Denon X2500H is dropped out of my selection; which Rec. do you use?
It should, my X4200W and X6500H both support LPCM and Atmos. What are you referring to with Rec? I have it set to auto switch based on the video format on my Shield and ATV4K.
With Rec. I meant Receiver, sorry for the bad abbreviation (could also mean Recording :)

No problems so far but I have some comments on the new icon...

First, the old icon is still present everywhere else in the app apparently.

Second, the new icon kind of gets partially lost in some places because of the gradient going to solid black. For instance on the aTV home screen the background can be black in dark mode so it makes the icon look like it's fading into the background. This same thing also happens in the app switcher - the app icon is small at the top when you enter the switcher and the background is black in dark mode. I suggest having it not fade to a complete black.

Hello.
Just been messing with the new build.

Tried playing some of my Atmos enabled movies, but not seeing any indication that my Receiver is getting an Atmos
soundtrack. ie. No Atmos confirmation by the receiver.

If I play the same files on my PC, my receiver indicates Atmos.

I know Atmos on the AppleTV4k does work, as Netflix titles like 'Luke Cage' etc flick my receiver into Atmos, and I get confirmation message on the receiver that Atmos is active.

I will try some of the links that testers have posted for Atmos demo's, but is weird that I can not seem to get anything but PCM in MrMC.

I tried it with Passthru disabled, which is how I have had to use it for a while, but did try passthru on, with no apparent change. However, I now notice that live TV with AC3 sound now works with passthru again, which it has not for longest time.

When I play an Atmos movie in MrMC and display info details about current media playing, it says 8 channel audio, but my receiver does not trigger Atmos indication message.

Is there a setting or something I am missing?
My receiver is a Yamaha RX-A1070

Update:

I downloaded the 2 Atmos mp4 files linked my another user.
Both trigger my receiver into DD Atmos/PCM mode, the same as I get when playing Atmos content in Netflix.

However, both files seem to result in black screen and unresponsive MrMC, and I have to press the Home button of my AppleTV remote, to escape, and then return into MrMC.

When I play any of my Atmos movies on my PC, the receiver says 'DD Atmos/DTHD'

I tried the in built Netflix app on my Smart TV, and it triggers my Receiver into Atmos, and reports 'DD Atmos/DD+'

Feedback TF version MrMC Touch 3.8.0:

First awesome work, with the new Ariana Touch Skin, looks and works great :D

Some things I tested:
- Emby sign-in (when external access on Emby server 4.0.x is disabled):
Manual sign-in and pin request sign-in works without problems, so thanks for fixing this !

- Playing content changing volume with hardware device volume buttons:
Sometimes a glitch happens, resulting in no sound. Using the volume slider on screen to change volume, brings back sound.

Question:
Is it technically possible to have swipe actions in "Detail view" of a movie, to swipe left or right, to go to next or previous movie AND still remain in "Detail view" ?

Will report back when I have spend some more time on MrMC Touch 3.8.0 :)

The atmos that MrMC can support is DD+ Atmos, not TrueHD Atmos. That's why your movies don't trigger Atmos. There are very few test files out there with the DD+ Atmos audio track. But, as you've seen, content from Netflix and Amazon, etc. is DD+ Atmos.
