I’m just come back at home after a week and I’ve just installed last beta and I started to watch some episodes.
First, it is a great work: very nice and it seems to work well after two hours of video playback.
I noticed two small issues: the first is that language is in English instead of Italian language as MrMC current setting. I don’t know if the addon is localized.
The second problem happened one time, after finishing to watch an episode I prevent the add-on to start the next one and I switched off the tv. The view was the one displaying the previous one and the next to play concurrently.
After a while, the Apple TV doesn’t stop but I’m quite sure that doesn’t happen if I leave MrMC running in the plex home or in a episode/movie view. I’m trying to reproduce the problem. I’ll let you know in case of success.
The things that I don’t like too much are 1) the player interface that is different with respect to the current MrMC player but I know that you are working on it and 2) if I hit the menu button from the home-view, Plex asks me if I want to exit instead coming back to Apple TV home as it happen if I’m into MrMC home. I understand that plex is an add-on but do you think that is possible to change this behavior?
Actually, I should use the home button into tv remote to come back to Apple TV home without switching off the plex addon.
Another thing that is a feature request: do you think that is possible to use “on deck” of the addon to display its element into Apple TV home shelf? In this case selecting an element I should go directly into the addon.
Thank you again for the effort spent on this software.

FYI, testflight for iOS are stalled until we fix up hit rects. Otherwise it will just be frustrating to navigate when in plex for kodi.
Just curious, what do you mean when you say hit rects?
Generally, windows have a list of controls (edit, sliders, buttons, etc), These controls are on a single plane (same z). In iOS, when you place a finger down, the control list is checked for which control's focusable rect is 'inside' that coordinate point. This control is then the one that has been 'hit'. Works best when you have non-overlapping hit rects. If they do overlap, then the order in the list determines which control gets the hit. Not exactly what one desires.
In Plex for Kodi, specially in the OSD, the transport (pause and such) have much, much larger hit rects than the actual item you see on the screen. So much larger that, for example, the pause button's hit rect overlaps the buttons to right or left. There's just enough showing so sire remote does not have a problem moving around but on iOS it becomes unclear if you have touched the pause button, or the buttons to right or left. You have to touch it exactly in the center to get it. What we call, no slop room for those (like me) with fat fingers.
I'll post a screenshot showing this next time I run with focusable rects showing, this is a compile time set debug mode we used to develop the new Siri focus engine handler. It shows us the various controls in a window, their state and which one is 'in focus'.

Okay, this update has gotten worse for me.
1. if I want to watch TV and switch, then the program is only forward or rewound.
2. otherwise the channel list would be displayed when the OK button is pressed, now the current TV program is paused. I think that's not what it's meant to be.
Will go back 2 versions and wait for the upcoming Update

Wow. It is very interesting. I didn’t know that there is so much behind touching a button.

More specific please, normal TV Shows, using pvr ? using plex/emby clients or plex for kodi.

For users not in previous testflight, some insight explained by Davilla :

hit rects (before tweaks)
hit rects (after tweaks)
Look close at the green rects surrounding the buttons. The orange rect is the one 'in focus'

I don't use Plex, and I haven't noticed any major problems. Maybe it just me though, but in recent builds when launching MrMC, the default selected section has changed to Media Sources. is there a setting for that? it just seems weird to me that it wouldn't be Movies or TV.

Normal TV via TVHeadend. Otherwise, the stations can be zapped through, only after the last update is it no longer possible. In addition, you could have the station list by long press the OK button.

Hi ...
Looks like that with last build, and under tvOS 11.3 latest public beta, the video is NOT paused for 4s while setting the frame rate ... It was working great with 3.5.0 ...
Waiting for your help ...
