Congrats on 3.8 !

But for me, with "adjust display refresh rate" on, it's stuttering most of the time since a few 3.8 test releases. Still ok with Plex client.

I'm not the only one having reported this, so I don't know if you need log or not.

I don't actually remember someone else mentioning it, so yes, debuglog, please

Yes I'm getting this too - almost all 1080p24 files. I'll see if I can get a log together.

I'm the same. It's intermittent. 1080 files might start half way through watching something but not every time.

Yeah it's not 100% of the time. I'll get a log. I'm trying to see if it's more frequent after waking up the shield from sleep, or the framerate (24fps, 25, 23,9x, 23,81 like some anime,etc...)

Yeap same for me. My Shield default is 4k 59fps, but I've seen the stuttering only in 1080p24 files (and I have refresh and resolution changing on). And like you say it's not from start to finish (although I've seen that too), but it might start after 10 mins... and then get better again later. But I think it's always in the same spot in the same file.

Played perfectly in VLC.

What happens if you switch shield refresh rate to 23.976. just for the sake of testing
My shield set to 4K 23.976 and I have MrMC set to switch both refresh rate and resolution
and all works perfectly

If you see stuttering problems try turning off advanced timing for AMC surface in settings>video>acceleration. I think for me I like the un-advanced timing better even though advanced is supposed to work on the shield.

Another one with random stuttering issue since 3.8.0 is there a way to downgrade? 3.7 works like a charm for me
