Is MrMC set to limited or full range color ?

Is set to limited (full range makes the interface looks bad)
BTW, i also check the file with the last infuse (also supports dynamic chages) and plays fine...

roll call testers

everything good ?
If from aptv4k settings I format in 4K SDR 60 hrz and play a HDR or Dolby Vision movie I think it does not make the automatic change.
But the worst is the sound. It's a while in DTS or DOLBY according to the movie and it breaks with that horrible noise. That it does it in DTS it is worth but in Dolby 5.1 ??
Anyway is great this taste of kodi over apple

I'll recheck setting tvOS to 4k/SDR/60. I normally live at 4k/HDR/60.
For DTS or DOLBY issue, turn off loud noise <something> in tvOS settings. For DTS/DD to
passthrough correctly, it must be off.

On 20171203-e69e483 build for TvOS, I can confirm that LG Dolby Vision test videos are playing back in Dolby Vision (MKV format). I cannot seem to get Dolby Vision titles ripped with MKVmerge to play back in DV however (although there are rumors MKVmerge will not preserve the DV metadata). I will have to do some more testing.
Edit: Doing a little more investigation and reading the DV white paper:
https://www.dolby.com/us/en/technologie ... -paper.pdf (warning PDF), is this an issue of single vs. dual layer composition? I've guessing the DV test files I'm using use a single layer, while UHD titles use a dual layer. Is it possible the current MrMC implementation only supports single layer?

Sure thing! Note there are two files contained in the .ts video file, the primary 3840x2160 video, and separate 1920x1080p file. The 1920x1080p file is likely the Dolby Vision metadata. I believe this is how all UHD dolby vision titles work (i.e., dual layer composition).

I think it's the way remuxing the file off the disc is done and then muximg the tracks together doesn't actually get or preserve the DV metadata and only the HDR10. I highly doubt it's MrMC since no other device or application can play those remuxes with DV.
