- tryfix: nfs/samba shares random failures
- trailers fix, use online videos instead of youtube on tvOS if local trailer doesnt exist
I have serious lockup problems with this version:

Steps
1. If I turn on the Apple tv4k (after sleep) and start mrmc I have either a:
1.1 a complete UI screen freeze and mrmc lockup.
1.2 Or Playing content is impossible and the lockup occurs.
1.3 or a loading screens appears
2. If I shutdown the app mrmc restarts eventually and everything is normal
3. if I restart the Apple TV mrmc works fine
4. Log upload is not possible (please look at this below, if I can’t upload logs it’s difficult to report)

I copied the log after mrmc shutdown/ restart weblog to pastebin, see https://pastebin.com/nu2A36dx

Log warning
14:50:42.844 T:6094909440 DEBUG: CurlFile::Open(0x16b48dfc0) http://log.mrmc.tv/remote.php/webdav/Logs/DXGNR.log

14:50:44.392 T:6094909440 ERROR: UploadLogs: Failed to upload log - DXGNR.log to http://log.mrmc.tv
looks like you have managed to access the log file, can you just post the log.old after it locks up and you restart it, thats the log from the previous session

@amet the freeze after sleep occurred again
Logs cannot be uploaded again so I used zerobin.

Old.Log after long sleep (10 hours overnight?) and freeze about 0925 this morning. Mrmc was frozen in the ui screen

Update about no debug logging

1. Debug log cannot be uploaded is displayed
2. Enable Debug logging is on
3. Enable component debug logging is off
4. Enable component specific logging select all.
5. Restart mrmc
6. Debug logging is working again
7. Disable component specific logging
8. Debug logging is still working

The point is that I can’t get it to fail again after this. I’ll keep looking

debuglog upload will send log and log.old, so if you upload as soon as you restart after it freezes/acts up, we will see it in there.

@amet, I can’t. As soon as the aTV gets out of sleep, 1 hour in this case, logging is not possible. I have to repeat all the steps above twice to enable it again thus destroying logs ?

Log 6F2QQ.log is uploaded for the logging issue ? I already attempted to manually uploaded the video issue in a post above using zerobin.

Is nobody else having these logging issues ?

Thank you for the ‚trailers fix‘, this is much better now than before, because I didn‘t store any trailers, which can easily been watched online.

But unfortunately the online search for trailers only is successful for movie titles in the original language, whereas the scrapers find localized titles, too.

Example:
1917
Carlito‘s Way
Dallas Buyers Club
were found, wheras

Die Peanuts - Der Film (The Peanuts Movie)
Oben (Up)
Persischstunden (Persian Lessons)
are not to be found, though the original titles are part of the database.

Maybe there is a way to optimize this feature a little bit. Anyway, I like this improvement very much.

I’ll see if there is a way to localise it and search based on your UI language… or, we can try the search using the “original” name… need to experiment with that a bit

My no logging problem is clearly showing a pattern and steps for a solution

1 I fully shutdown the mrmc app
2 After aTV long sleep of 9 hours I start mrmc app,
3 Update library at startup is set, but does not run I do not here a chime sound of app start !!!!
4 Upload Log is not possible
5 I have to disable logging and specific logging
6 Force mrmc shutdown
7 Start mrmc,
8 update library starts and runs
9 I have to enable logging and specific logging
10 logging (one item has to be selected)
11 Start mrmc
12 upload Log is working normally

I suspect that my UI freezing and freeze upon play chrash are affected by this too.

Is there a path to finding a solution in here somewhere ?

I suspect your log files get huge when you scan the library in, there was a limit on upload of 100mb, I have increased that to 200mb. Please see if it works now.

Not being able to upload the log would in no way affect the UI.

Is this the only version that you are having issues with? If you roll back to previous TestFlight all is okay in UI?
