set log to debug. it shows much more info

play your DTS-HD 5.1, then let me see logs

I do notice this:
ERROR: Create - Error creating /var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/DFECEBFB-8028-472B-9CD0-4ED56F9BA30F/Library/Caches/home/userdata/addon_data/pvr.mythtv/cache/

I have to double check that path. Smells funny.

My original question was how could do I really know DTS-HD MA versus the DTS Core is being decoded to the multichannel LPCM? I have 5.1 speakers and my source file is 5.1 DTS-HD MA - it's not 7.1.
see what I said above about using the web GUI to display codec info.

I did that and it looks like this: https://i.imgur.com/qpoOw8W.jpg -- Audio: DTS (DTS-HD MA)

It's the same no matter how many channels I have enabled or if I have passthrough enabled or not. With passthrough disabled it's still not clear to me if MrMC is converting the full lossless DTS-HD MA to multichannel PCM or if it is converting the lossy DTS core to PCM.

I'm basing my question on the details of DTS here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DTS-HD_Ma ... ompression

I'm not in front of my apple tv at the moment but will take a look at the debug level logs later.
