thx, looks like your content is h264 interlaced. Your Kodi is playing it using MediaCodec (surface). MrMC traps out interlaced except for a certain, known working flavor. We would like to get a sample of this content so we can determine it's properties and exclude it from the interlace trap.

Files as requested , the MTS file is out of the camera , the m2ts is the file played.

Thanks, I see possible issue. File plays fine on FireTV2, you have FireTV1. On FireTV2, we limit ffmpeg to three threads for interlaced. But it seems FireTV1 also needs the same limits. Have to re-setup my FireTV1 for testing and verify the fix does work.

Have uploaded the original mts file from camera , 00000.mts , unprocessed . Shows the problem.

@davilla - Since you are dusting off your first gen Fire TV, can you test Plex transcoding?

With Mediacodec (Surface) on, transcoded video will not play - It wants to re-buffer every second.

With regular Mediacodec the video plays without issue.

Running on WiFi - but don't see how that could make a difference. If you cannot reproduce, I'll get you logs.
