It looks like there's been talk of a new skin for MrMC forever. The last "official" comment I can find is from Dec 1015 and said pecinko was working on a skin just for MrMC. I appreciate you guys wanting to have a "custom" look but isn't it time to a) pull in the Estuary skin since it doesn't use any scripts, or b) reach out to one of the Kodi skin developers and ask them to strip out python from their skin for you guys.
I just find myself drifting back to KODI simply because of the look of the Estuary skin.
Thoughts? Comments?
1. No user installed addons are supported, python or otherwise.
2. No, they really are not supported.
3. They are not coming back
4. Read from 1. again

They're working on it, and it'll be in testing "soon." They've talked about it way more recently than 2015...

Surely Estuary could have been imported ages ago, then if another MrMC skin wanted that done additionally?
Same as OP I reverted to Kodi on FireTV early 2017.
Originally I thought MrMC plan was as a stream-lined, bug fixed, kodi variant with App Store auto-updating. It seems to have become a 2 year old kodi snapshot spreading itself thin with new platforms and addons in various stages of completion while Kodi with, I assume, far greater dev resources, leaves it behind.

See current Testflight, the new skin is being tested there.

Thanks for sharing. I have tried the new default skin. Not really matching my style, but obviously tastes are very different, so you will never find a skin that will make everyone happy.
May there still be a chance to see Estuary and Estouchy in MrMC?
Also, I actually quite like SiO2 on TVOS. Looking very nice and great that you have ported it from Kodi. I hope you will keep this development with future MrMC releases. The latest SiO2 on Kodi have different themes and include big fixes (most importantly, the menu bars don't show up correctly when pausing play in MrMC). Do you plan to include these bug fixes?
